Willow is the first deciduous tree to show signs of life before spring has begun, exhibiting a golden glow, even in January.

Willow regenerates effortlessly, a single wand planted in the right environment will in time grow into a huge tree.

Different parts of the willow, especially its bark, have been used for both emotional and physical healing for thousands of years.

Personally, Jon finds the willow tree very beautiful and feels uplifted in its presence especially when a breeze is blowing through its leaves and branches.

Willow trees are present everywhere in our city, in parks, gardens and in most places you care to look for them, serving as a constant reminder of the regenerative energy of nature.

Trees on the mind

Trees feature as important characters in many of Jon’s stories.

A willow tree is one of the main characters in his retelling of the myth of Psyche and Eros.
